Veronica Mars

Delayed notice

Really sorry I didn't get this up in time on Neptunesite for the East Coasters, but it's still in time for the West Coast: Kristen is going to be on The Late Late Show on CBS tonight. I think it's on at 12:35.

All I know is they show something from "Reefer Madness."

And yay, new episode tomorrow!

Echolls Family Christmas Clip

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you missed Kristen's appearance on the Late Late Show, there will be video and screencaps up at Neptune High sometime this week, but for now I put up a clip they showed of Veronica Mars just before Kristen came on. It's a scene from tonight's episode, so if you don't want to be spoiled, skip it, but otherwise, head on over and check it out.

Watch With Kristin

So everyone, Watch With Kristin is at it again, promoting the show. You should all go check it out, and they also have video clips too!

"That said, I'm giddy at being able announce that the winner of our first annual Watch It, Already! award--honoring the best show people are (stupidly) not watching--is none other than (drumroll please)...UPN's Veronica Mars!

Two words: Woo-woo!

I visited the set to break the news to the cast, and they were thrilled at the win--and not just in the usual "I'm so Hollywood even my emotions are plastic" kind of way.

Kristen Bell, Miss Veronica Mars herself, actually got a little teary-eyed (I dookie you not) and gushed, "Oooh, that's so sweet! Thank you! Our audience is climbing, people are telling their friends, so, please, guys, keep telling your friends!"

Enrico Colantoni, the Just Shoot Me alum who plays Bell's dad, got a little, um, overexcited--which you can see for yourself right here in this Enrico Colantoni video clip. (And remember, he's the adult on the show. Imagine how the young'uns reacted.)

And now, for the plea. If you haven't seen this new series, you must, must check it out. The series might look like a fluffy teenybopper show, but I assure you, it is anything but. Yes, the show is about a, ahem, 17-year-old girl, ahem, but the storylines are just as complex, compelling, edgy and witty as anything you'll see on Desperate Housewives or Lost. Bold statement, I know, and I stand by it.

In case you need a little more coaxing, here are five great reasons to get on that couch Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. and watch Veronica Mars, already--dangit!"
